FAQ’s

  • If possible, plan to arrive about 10 minutes prior to the start of worship.  This will allow us to greet you properly and hopefully make you feel at home, and also for you to find your seat among us and become familiar with the order of worship as printed in the bulletin.

  • If you have a personal Bible that you read and study with, feel free to bring this, along with anything you might want to take notes with.  However, we also provide Bibles for use in the church pews, so there is actually nothing essential to bring, other than an open heart to the Lord himself!

  • The length of our worship services vary in keeping with what they include from week to week, but they typically last for an hour and 15 minutes.

  • Your children are welcome in all the worship services of our church!  We are keenly aware of our Lord’s love for our children, and desire for them to approach him with us.  If you would like to include your children in the worship service, please do not hesitate to do so.

For those with children too young to sit through the entire worship service, a nursery is also provided just off the foyer of the main building.  Approved members of Resurrection will provide care for your children during both worship services as well as the morning Sunday School and prayer meeting hour.  A paging system is used to notify you if your child has a need.

  • Sunday School for children and young people is held after morning worship in the Education Building across the parking lot.  Each week’s bulletin contains a list of the classes offered, with the teacher’s name and the classroom number.  Bible lessons, songs, and Scripture memorization are all part of the Sunday School program, which is a vital part of our cooperation as a congregation in the spiritual training of our covenant children.

An adult Sunday School class is also offered each week, alternating with seasons of prayer together as a congregation.

  • It is our conviction that the sacrament of Communion is for all baptized Christians who have made public profession of faith in Jesus Christ, and are members in good standing of a faithful Christian church.   All of our visitors who meet these simple requirements are warmly invited to join us in celebrating the Lord’s Supper each Sunday as part of our evening worship service.  Those visiting who are not yet Christians, or not yet baptized and professing members of a Christian church, are asked to abstain from Communion, and to use the time instead for reflection and prayer.

  • The collection of offerings in the morning and evening worship services is primarily for those who have committed themselves to Resurrection in membership.  Visitors are welcome to participate in these elements of worship, but are in no way made to feel obligated to do so.
